Overbleed¶

Overbleed is an effect plugin for Adobe After Effects. It combines chromatic bleed — diffusing the image while shifting the RGB channels apart — with turbulence-driven melt, color patches and film grain, plus a thresholded glow, letting you build an analog, organic look in a single effect.
Features¶
- Chromatic bleed — a spread whose radius, direction and tail length differ per channel. Directional smear and radial lens fringing (Radial Shift) are supported too
- Melt — letters dissolve unevenly and are replaced by the bleed. Includes a halftone style, external-layer matte control, and Dissolve that erodes all the way to full transparency
- Color patches — random / duotone color mottling in the bleed cloud. Color Boost strengthens the tint
- Glow — up to 3 bloom layers, an inner/outer two-color gradient, film-style halation, and an anamorphic flare
- Texture — film grain, paper fiber, and edge ink (coffee-ring)
- Motion — Evolution / Evolution Speed drift, Flicker, noise warp (Distortion), Echo (ghosts), and drips (Streaks)
- GPU rendering — Metal on Mac, CUDA (NVIDIA) / DirectX 12 (AMD · Intel) on Windows
- 8 / 16 / 32 bpc, multi-frame rendering
