Manage your After Effects plugins and scripts.

    Download Pluxel

Installing with Pluxel

  1. Launch Pluxel
  2. Drag & drop the downloaded Overbleed .ppf file onto Pluxel
  3. Click "Install" and it is placed into the Plug-ins folder automatically
  4. Restart After Effects — it appears under Effect → CubeZeero → Overbleed

You can also install manually without Pluxel (below).

macOS

Copy Overbleed.plugin into:

/Applications/Adobe After Effects <version>/Plug-ins/Effects

Windows

Copy Overbleed.aex into:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects <version>\Support Files\Plug-ins\Effects

Overbleed runs many times faster on the GPU.

  1. Open File → Project Settings → Video Rendering and Effects
  2. Set "Use" to Mercury GPU Acceleration (Metal / CUDA / DirectX)
Environment Backend used
Mac Metal
Windows + NVIDIA CUDA
Windows + AMD / Intel DirectX 12

Tip

With "Software Only" or on machines without a GPU, rendering falls back to the CPU automatically. The result is identical to the GPU.

Uninstall

Remove Overbleed.plugin (Mac) / Overbleed.aex (Windows) from the Plug-ins folder and restart After Effects.
