• Check that the plugin file was copied into the correct folder (Mac: Plug-ins, Windows: Support Files\Plug-ins)
• Restart After Effects after copying
• It appears under Effect → CubeZeero → Overbleed

Overbleed is signed and notarized with an Apple Developer ID, so this warning normally does not appear. If it does, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, click "Open Anyway" near the bottom, then restart After Effects.

Yes. There is a free demo (download from the Purchase page). All features work, but a red X watermark is baked into the center of the rendered result. The demo appears separately as "Overbleed (Demo)", so you can install both at once.

After Effects 2025.6 or later (verified on 2026). 8 / 16 / 32 bpc and multi-frame rendering are supported.

Check that Mercury GPU Acceleration is selected under Project Settings → Video Rendering and Effects. "Software Only" uses CPU rendering and is much slower. With the GPU enabled, the optimal backend is chosen automatically on Mac (Metal) / NVIDIA (CUDA) / AMD · Intel (DirectX 12).

Raise Color Boost (in the Color group) to 150–250%. If it is still weak, also check Color Variation and Tint Mode / Tint Color.
